How to use free hazard perception practice
Free hazard perception practice is most useful when you treat it as a quick check of your timing and awareness.
Watch the full road scene
Do not focus only on the vehicle directly ahead. Look at pavements, junctions, side roads, parked vehicles, cyclists and traffic movement.
Respond when the hazard develops
A potential hazard becomes a developing hazard when it may cause a driver or rider to change speed, direction or position.
Avoid clicking continuously
The hazard perception test is not about clicking as often as possible. Practise responding clearly when the hazard begins to develop.
Use your result as a guide
If you miss the hazard or respond too late, use that as a sign to practise more clips before taking your real theory test.
